ABBOTSWOOD RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION LIMITED 

​In 1983 ARAL was founded following the expansion of the Abbotswood Estate. This incorporated Westward Ho as it slowly grew to the size we know today following several developments of new houses.

It was decided that ARAL would exist to maintain the estate and its road and all 52 households were offered to become a shareholder and pay an annual levy. Part of becoming a shareholder means you own a 1p Share and also have your Deed registered with the Land Registry. It is a Limited Company and therefore registered with Companies House.

Our Articles of Association allow us to have of 7 directors who live on the estate and we aim to recruit so they represent as many of the different parts of it as possible.
